Pendulum
: Belgische countrygroep, wereldwijd eerste met die naam! Scoorde, mede dank
zij de pedalsteelgitaar van Tuur Huysveld, in 1971 hit met door Serge Demol
zelfgeschreven 'It’s a beautiful day'. De plaat is verdeeld in de Benelux en
van Spanje tot Japan.
Het nummer werd een evergreen en vooral in de lente en zomer graag gedraaid.
Split van Pendulum na 2de single “Early morning rain”, vorming van Pendulum 2 (
met John Colston ) en dan Transit, waarmee nog enig succes met de single “Come on sunshine” en elpee
“First ride” . Laatste concert in
februari 1982 in Brusselse Ancienne Belgique.
Sedert mei
2008 is Pendulum Reunion Band, die 7 muzikanten samenbrengt uit de verschillende
voornoemde formaties, elk voorjaar op kleine concerttoer. Op 16 oktober 1997 was
een eerste reúnie van de originele Pendulumleden te Grimbergen, 25 jaar na hun
singelhit. En een tweede 'live' op de planken, op 1 mei 2011, tijdens concert
‘Erik
60 jaar’ in de zaal Roma te Antwerpen.
